Trained as a biological illustrator, my attention to detail stems from long practice rendering animals through finely detailed illustrations.

Through a combination of painting, photography and sculpture, I try to emulate nature's complexity without glorifying it. And while I still rely on accurate representations, my process now involves a string of decisions that lack scientific objectivity.

Regardless of the media, I build clusters of life, amalgamations of organisms, familiar and unfamiliar, reminiscent of natural growth yet corrupted by human influence.
